Sometimes, in life, we are blessed with certain opportunities, surprises, and moments. Well, I was once blessed. That blessing? When my roommate, Cole, and I accidentally stumbled upon this movie on TV. Since that day, I have truly never been the same.
Herein lies the movie, Fatso, about a Fat Italian guy who is unable to control his own eating. As a result of his inability to stop, Fatso has very low-self esteem and finds himself chasing a blonde girl. The movie is weirdly religious and unapologetically Italian.
Everyone should be forced to watch this movie. Like when kids enter 3rd grade, the first thing they should have to do is be shown this movie in school, all across America.
One of the best characters:
I quote him directly, “Have you ever sucked the jelly out of a jelly donut and filled it back up with chocolate ice cream?”
At one point, an Alcoholic Anonymous like meeting takes place, but instead it’s for fat people. This scene, especially, is a work of art.
